Con-Cor began cutting
concrete in the early 1960, using
core drills, and 3” diameter
diamond tipped bits. In the beginning
all openings were cut with a core
drill. Some of the first openings
cut for stairwells were line cored.
Since the early 60’s we have
expanded both our technology and the
capacities.
We currently are capable of drilling
hole from 1/8” in tile to diameter
to a 57” dia. Sewer holes for
a water treatment plant. There is
no limit to the depth of a hole. Con-Cor
has drilled holes over 30 feet deep.
Con-Cor operators use core drills,
wet or dry, to cut through any masonry,
concrete or asphalt material. |

Con-Cor
began using Pavement Saws in the early
1970’s. Pavement Saws were used
for sawing small jobs in the beginning,
but flat sawing is now widely used
in the repair and rehabilitation of
concrete floors, asphalt parking lots,
and roadways.
With our 10 hp electric saw, for hospital
or office work, to our 72 hp diesel
saws, for Airport Runway work, Con-Cor
Co’s Pavement Saws spend more
time on the road than most cars. |
|
|
Wall sawing
started in the mid 1970’s.
This is the most labor intensive
of all concrete cutting. Con-Cor’s
operators have cut through walls
as thick as 30” from one
side, and 60” with access
to both sides. Chain Saws are
used to square cut the corners
so there is no overcut.
Wire Sawing is one of the latest
concrete cutting techniques.
There are no size or shape limitations
to wire sawing. If a wire can
be wrapped around the concrete,
it can be cut. |

|
This
is the most rapidly growing
portion of our business. Con-Cor
operators have cut decorative
designs into concrete, cut green
concrete joints, slots for traffic
and high speed door loops, and
curb cuts.
We can also do floor grinding,
bridge deck grooving, and Removal
of the concrete we cut. Chain
Sawing of concrete walls and
floors has taken the construction
industry by storm.
Con-Cor was the first sawing
and drilling company to use
chainsaws for square corners.
Con-Cor also will pour back
floor trenches, and pour concrete
driveways and sidewalks. |
